Expectations

JC Leisure are the UK’s leading wristband and lanyard reseller, covering major festivals, concerts, hospitals and charity events. Having understood the need to globalise,  JC Leisure Connexions Ltd  contacted UKTI for advice on a variety of issues  from tax, marketing, sales and recruitment etc. UKTI “recommended” JC Leisure to contact The European Marketing Agency as an International Outsourced Sales and Marketing resource. Initially, JC Leisure was interested in expanding into the French market. They were, however, also looking at the possibility of moving into Germany and Austria.

Process

The first step for TEMA was to determine the most suitable approach for the French market. Due to the nature of the product it was decided that the best solution was to completely localise the business to the French market. Everything from the brand name to the website was re-designed to give JC Leisure the best possibilities of succeeding. TEMA performed the following tasks:

  • Design and build of French website
  • Purchase of Domain name
  • Hosting
  • French Rebranding
  • Help setting up a French phone number
  • Set up of French bank account
  • Translation for the website
  • Recruitment of French employee

After having successfully started selling in France, the next step was to expand the business inito German and Austria. TEMA has 10 years of experience selling and marketing into these countries. This experience was used to design, build and adapt websites for both of these markets.

Process

After having worked with TEMA JC Leisure started getting orders from all three countries entered and have successfully been selling their products into France, Germany and Austria since 2009.
