Multilingual translation: Making global expansion happen

Process

Here at TEMA Translation, years of experience mean that our translation processes are both tried and tested and highly efficient. Our passion for outstanding quality means that our Project Management team pay attention to even the smallest of detail. TEMA’s project management skills, together with our finely-tuned project management system, ensure that our translations always meet your expectations, your budget and your deadline.

Before your project begins, we will discuss with you your exact requirements and expectations and we will tailor our translation process to suit your project. In addition to the below processes, we will ensure you receive regular updates on the status of your project and that any queries or project alterations you may have are dealt with immediately.

1. Quotation
Using the latest translation software, TEMA will conduct an analysis of your source files. This allows us to identify matches to any TMs you may own, and internal repetitions within your file, with or without an existing TM. We will then provide you with a tailored translation quote, factoring in your source and target languages, document type, source format, any coding and post-translation requirements, such as proofreading and typesetting.

2. Project Allocation
TEMA will assign to your project to one of our world-class Project Managers. They will personally manage your project from start to finish and will be your direct point of contact for all updates and queries. They will allocate translators to your project, based on the source and target languages, sector and software requirements. See our [industry-specific pages] for more information on our translators for your sector.

3. Translation
Your TEMA Project Manager will send your source files to the allocated translators, along with any TMs and/or glossaries you may already have. At this point, TEMA can also build TMs and Glossaries for you for use on future projects. These will remain your property but can be maintained by TEMA. The use of Computer Assisted Translation tools not only saves you time, but also money.

4. Proofreading
Once your translations are complete, your TEMA Project Manager will send the target files onto one of our proofreading team. Proofreading for the major European languages is conducted by our in-house team but for anything else, TEMA have a selective database of highly tested and trusted freelance proof-readers to whom we allocate all proofreading work. The proofreader will check the translations for linguistic accuracy, readability, cultural sensitivity, consistency and sector-specific style and vocabulary.

5. Formatting
Where required, TEMA Translation will also conduct post-translation formatting of your documents. This may be conversion back to html coding, or typesetting. We have a team of trained file engineers with the software and know-how to handle almost any source and target format.

6. In-house Checks
All final checks are conducted in-house and will be conducted by your TEMA Project Manager.

The Project Manager will check that all of your translations are correctly formatted, meet your pre-specified requirements and are an accurate reflection of your source documents. If your project involves translation into a number of languages, they will also check for consistency between the target documents.

Thanks to our straight-forward processes and the skill-set of our in-house and freelance teams, TEMA Translation is able to offer you world-class translations tailored to your deadline and budget.
